IV<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fourth Mystery:\u00a0 <\/span>Healing Others<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not blessed above the rest are you unto whom I give the Fourth Mystery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So just because you hear it, don\u2019t mean you’re better off than anybody else. <\/span><\/p>\n

Through your bodies I radiate My glory and send vitality to other bodies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don’t know whether everybody is well aware or not, but you can give a lot of vitality and energy to anybody else that’s in your area; or you can take a lot from them.\u00a0 <\/span>If I come in all, \u201cuhhh\u201d, I can drag everybody in here down.\u00a0 <\/span>I can sap your energy out like you had a pump on you.\u00a0 <\/span>Or I can come in full of vim, vigor, vitality, enthusiasm, the fire of the gods,\u00a0 <\/span>everybody will feel pretty good.\u00a0 <\/span>Now I have on the average of 10 people a day call up and say they’re pooped out and they need some energy.\u00a0 <\/span>So I talk to them one minute on the phone, and they do have a lot of energy.\u00a0 <\/span>So it will travel over the microwaves over the telephone system.\u00a0 <\/span>They don’t have wires in them anymore; they just go by microwaves.\u00a0 <\/span>But you can transmit energy to other people \u2013 vitality.\u00a0 <\/span>And I think that’s probably what allows me to have more vitality than most people.\u00a0 <\/span>And I think I really do\u2014cause I can wear any of you out\u2014is that I give out a lot of it.\u00a0 <\/span>So that’s kind of a form of exercise.\u00a0 <\/span>If I dish out a lot of vitality, why, of necessity, I have to generate a lot.\u00a0 <\/span>So you might as well find out.\u00a0 <\/span>And Mack, that is a very interesting thing to do is to radiate a lot of energy out for other folks.\u00a0 <\/span>Be like a tower that sends it out.\u00a0 <\/span>That might even be interesting!\u00a0 <\/span>Even to you!<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through your mind I quicken the minds and nerves of other bodies,<\/strong><\/p>\n

And you really do.\u00a0 <\/span>Were you ever around somebody who was very enthusiastic and didn’t you feel a lot better?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>And when you’re around somebody who is, “Woe is poor me.\u00a0 <\/span>All my life when it was my time to do something I did it; when it’s somebody\u2019s time to help me, they’re never there.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>That will drag you down so fast, you don’t know what hit you, you know.\u00a0 <\/span>Boom, out it goes.\u00a0 <\/span>You just dissipate energy all over the place.\u00a0 <\/span>So\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Through your mind I quicken the minds and nerves of other bodies, acting upon them according to My will, that I might ripen them to great destinies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cGreat destiny\u201d is just to be alive and feel enthusiastic, and fix things around, and don’t load other people down with things.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s a \u201cGreat Destiny.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Don’t have to get your name in headlines or neons or any of that kind of stuff. <\/span><\/p>\n

You who have this Fourth Mystery, the gift of healing others,<\/strong><\/p>\n

are no better than those others…<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So don’t get the idea that if because you can heal somebody or you know somebody could, that they\u2019re any great shakes.\u00a0 <\/span>They are just folks who throw out a little of energy, that’s all, and see that everything’s all right just like it is.\u00a0 <\/span>So if you’re a healer, don’t let it go to your head.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You who have this Fourth Mystery, the gift of healing others, are no better than those others that you heal.\u00a0 <\/span>And if you are happier than they are,
\n<\/strong>yet your happiness is not more profitable than their unhappiness.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It just doesn’t do any good\u2014not because you can heal.\u00a0 <\/span>You know, don’t go around pattin\u2019 yourself on the back cause if you do, you’ll break your arm.\u00a0 <\/span>And that’s all you’ll get out of it.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Other bodies have I prepared for the ministrations,<\/strong><\/p>\n

There’s a lot of sick ones around for you to practice on.\u00a0 <\/span>There\u2019s a lot of those been prepared for you to minister.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

O holder of the key of the Fourth Mystery!\u00a0 <\/span>Others, less ripened than you, are awaiting the help that you can give.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They’re out there waitin\u2019 for it because they haven’t found a way to be out of their conflict and struggle, and they dissipate energy all over the place with boredom and helplessness and self-pity and all this.\u00a0 <\/span>So there’s plenty of them out there.\u00a0 <\/span>So throw \u2018em out a little bit.\u00a0 <\/span>They’ll use it.\u00a0 <\/span>They won’t keep it, but they’ll use it for a while anyway.\u00a0 <\/span>But it’s kind of like buyin\u2019 somebody’s dinner, you know.\u00a0 <\/span>Hungry person, you get their dinner then they’re not hungry now.\u00a0 <\/span>But in a few hours they will be.\u00a0 <\/span>So somebody’s all down, you give \u2018em a big charge of energy.\u00a0 <\/span>It’s like giving \u2018em a meal; they feel fine now, but in a few hours they’ll be hungry again.\u00a0 <\/span>So in the process you have plenty to practice on.\u00a0 <\/span>That’s what they’re there for.\u00a0 <\/span>And maybe they’ll catch on some day that they can do likewise and look after their own.\u00a0 <\/span>All they gotta do is to kind of like things in the world like they are.\u00a0 <\/span>So there’s plenty out there for us to work on, okay?<\/span><\/p>\n

O holder of the key of the Fourth Mystery!\u00a0 <\/span>Others, less ripened than you, are awaiting the help you can give! \u00a0<\/span>But until you have accepted from Me the power to heal and the sure knowledge that I am in you and you in Me,<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s all one.<\/span><\/p>\n

and until you can say “I love,”<\/strong><\/p>\n

and really know what you’re saying, not just popping words off, <\/span><\/p>\n

knowing that it is I in the body which saith it,<\/strong><\/p>\n

even until then you are only an imitator of My healing power.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you know that X does all the healing, generates all the energy – the only source of energy in living beings in this world is X.\u00a0 <\/span>And you can use it or dissipate it; block it off, but it\u2019s there.\u00a0 <\/span>And everybody has X in \u2018em, so there’s nobody deficient of energy; there’s an awful lot of people who don’t take advantage of it.\u00a0 <\/span>You know, it\u2019s like we’re in this room and I see that none of the lights are on.\u00a0 <\/span>That doesn’t mean light\u2019s not available; all we got to do is go over there and push a button.<\/span><\/p>\n

[a few words were lost as tape was turned over]<\/span><\/p>\n

Now demanding don’t mean in the usual sense get with it and do it. It just means just push the button, you know.\u00a0 <\/span>That’s making the demand.\u00a0 <\/span>Very simple.<\/span><\/p>\n

Until you know me, it is well if you can imitate what you think I am.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If so, well \u2013 and if not, well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fine, you can go through all those states; you can do the imitation.\u00a0 <\/span>If so well, and if not, well.\u00a0 <\/span>It’s all right either way.\u00a0 <\/span>As I said, you don’t have to change anything.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For I am working My will in the body now, and you shall see My glory<\/strong><\/p>\n

when your eyes grow strong enough to endure such a light.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You gotta get your eyes so you can stand to see that, really, Life is doing everything we see around here constantly.\u00a0 <\/span>It is makin\u2019 you breathe, smile, stand up, sit down, move, eat, get hungry, sleepy, wake up, whatever.\u00a0 <\/span>You don’t know how to do any of those things.\u00a0 <\/span>So what\u2019s goin\u2019 on?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Shall you say to Me, \u201cDoes God do it all and there is nothing for me to do?\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, I do it all.\u00a0 <\/span>You have but to Be, and to Grow, as I see fit to develop you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And so you are the living expression of Life and can you think of anything greater to be?\u00a0 <\/span>Just rattle that one by your ivories for a minute.\u00a0 <\/span>Is there anything greater than to be a conscious expression of Life, love, truth, God – whatever word you want to use?\u00a0 <\/span>A livin\u2019 expression of X.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, otherwise we’re a dying expression of the not-I\u2019s.\u00a0 <\/span>Now either way, you have your choice and I’d much prefer the former.\u00a0 <\/span>Hmm?\u00a0 <\/span>Now, you can walk on a street in a city or a small town, or anywheres you wanna be, and you look around, if you see a person, you see a person either dying as an expression of the not-I\u2019s or you see a person living, growing, being an expression of truth, God, love \u2013 if you will.\u00a0 <\/span>You see one or the other all the time; and unfortunately you see an awful lot more as an expression of dying, the expression of the not-I\u2019s.\u00a0 <\/span>You see it all over\u2026it’s really about all you see. <\/span><\/p>\n

When you can no longer hold the self up as a separate person from Me,<\/strong><\/p>\n

you will surrender to Me\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you see, \u201cLook, we’re all one.\u00a0 <\/span>So I’m gonna do the \u201cAwareness Function\u201d of this partnership, or this household; and my partner or my other aspect, Life, is gonna take care of all the \u201chow\u2019s\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>So I see what to do and get with it.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>It’ll take care of the other part of it and you won’t have to fret about it.\u00a0 <\/span>And you’re not a separate person.\u00a0 <\/span>So, if Life left any one of these bodies here, you know what would happen to the body?\u00a0 <\/span>Blap!\u00a0 <\/span>Hits the floor, no longer a living expression, right?\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s gone.\u00a0 <\/span>Right now.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When you can no longer hold yourself up as a separate person from Me, you will surrender to Me, and I will use the body to radiate My love to others.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And that’s a pretty good activity.\u00a0 <\/span>And I don’t know anything greater to say I exist for \u2013 that this body can be used to radiate Life, radiate love, radiate peace and radiate power, energy to other people.\u00a0 <\/span>Can you think of anything any better to do today?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(That’s good.)<\/span><\/p>\n

That’s all right, ok?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To exercise my healing power,<\/strong><\/p>\n

you must tenderly love, without desire, the body you would heal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

No matter where it is. You are sincerely interested in it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unto many I reveal a tender love with desire. Such a revelation of Myself comes to the maiden or youth with a power of gladness which is a foretaste of My joy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not the real thing, but it definitely is an aspect of it.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But unto you shall be revealed a more tender love, without desire and<\/strong><\/p>\n

even without desire for a return of affection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You don’t expect a return.\u00a0 <\/span>That the person says, \u201cNow look at all I’ve done for them and how little they’ve done for me.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>You know\u2026did you ever feel that way?\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cI’ve done so much for people and, man, nobody’s ever done anything for me except step on me.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Unto many I reveal the tender love with desire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s around and it’s wonderful, and it’s beautiful, and it\u2019s a foretaste.<\/span><\/p>\n

Such a revelation of Myself comes to the maiden or youth<\/strong><\/p>\n

with the power of gladness which is a foretaste of My joy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And it\u2019s very worthwhile havin\u2019 around. <\/span><\/p>\n

(Would you talk about the different ways you have desire?)<\/span><\/p>\n

Yeah, I\u2019ll get there in a minute, okay?<\/span><\/p>\n

But unto you shall be revealed a more tender love without desire for the return of affection.\u00a0 <\/span>Now if that degree of tenderness that I reveal unto many causes a supreme gladness of the heart, to what height of bliss shall they rise unto whom I give the power of radiating My perfect love?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, that is what’s called bliss and etcetera.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, I was asked to talk about desire.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, don’t think that because you want a drink of water, that that’s called desire.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, in the ordinary terms, it is somewhat, I guess; but you’re gonna have that.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Desire is a psychological – as it’s used here – is a psychological aspect that says, \u201cI’ve gotta have that in order to be happy.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Now, that’s the kind of desire it says it’s talkin\u2019 about here.\u00a0 <\/span>That says when it can disappear – that \u201cI gotta have this or that.\u00a0 <\/span>I’ve gotta have your attention or your approval in order to be happy.\u00a0 <\/span>I have to have this set of circumstances in order to be happy.\u00a0 <\/span>I’ve gotta be approved of by everybody to be happy.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>That is desire as used here.\u00a0 <\/span>Now please don’t think because you want a new house or a new car or somethin\u2019 – if you want those for whatever purpose you want \u2018em, knowing that they’re not gonna make you important.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, I know if we run out and get us a power-bob to run around in, it is a good attention getting\u2019 device, isn’t it, huh?\u00a0 <\/span>I drove a car to work the other morning.\u00a0 <\/span>It looks a little rugged and it’s a great big monster.\u00a0 <\/span>Some guy come barging in tellin\u2019 me that it looked like a pile of junk.\u00a0 <\/span>You know, he was trying to put it down, put me down for driving the thing.\u00a0 <\/span>So he drives a 280-ZX.\u00a0 <\/span>So I said, “Well, I know that this big Bentley looks pretty terrible, but it did get down here; and that’s more than I can say for that Japanese beer can you got out there.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>All of a sudden, he was very upset, you know.\u00a0 <\/span>All of a sudden, cause I had said his car was a Japanese beer can.\u00a0 <\/span>Now it didn’t change the 280-Z one iota, but just cause I said something, he got all rattled, you know.\u00a0 <\/span>I’m fairly well known for being fast on the uptake, you know\u2026 I usually put out what I put out.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026 to what height of bliss shall the person rise unto<\/strong><\/p>\n

whom I give the power of radiating My perfect love?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now that is perfect love\u2026 is love without need or a demand or a desire for return.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI love you and you better damn well love me or stuff is rough.”\u00a0 <\/span>If I love you simply because you are an expression of X, and I’m an expression of X, there\u2019s nothing I need in return – at all, and I don’t desire any.\u00a0 <\/span>It is a radiation and a radiation is not a drawing unto.\u00a0 <\/span>No doubt there will be a lot of other radiations start out there, but that’s not the purpose of it, okay?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each radiation of My love is a healing power<\/strong><\/p>\n

which pierces unto the uttermost, giving forth a new and sweet vitality.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In other words, the greatest source of vitality for ourselves is to truly radiate love, if you want to use that word.\u00a0 <\/span>It’s been used, so beat around, I hardly ever use it.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s been to relate to everything and it gets to be almost a clich\u00e9 at times.\u00a0 <\/span>But let\u2019s say that I am truly interested in your wellbeing, hmm?\u00a0 <\/span>Without any desire to get anything in return – you don’t owe me any return of being interested in me or anything else.\u00a0 <\/span>Then that radiation is probably one of the most healing things in the world, and it gives forth a sweet vitality.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I am only waiting to use the body to radiate forth My love and Life, waiting until you shall give up this so called \u201cknowledge of good and evil\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n

and surrender unto Me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You see, the reason we don’t surrender, we think we know what’s good and what\u2019s bad and what’s right and what’s wrong.\u00a0 <\/span>And so we demand that we better watch things cause Life don’t seem to have that.\u00a0 <\/span>It really don’t seem to care about what’s good and what’s bad and what’s right and what’s wrong.\u00a0 <\/span>Hmm?\u00a0 <\/span>Because that all comes from conditioning over there.\u00a0 <\/span>And that’s what our great riches is that we’re afraid to give up because if we’re not looking after what’s good and what\u2019s bad, who is?\u00a0 <\/span>You know?\u00a0 <\/span>Somethin\u2019 terrible liable to happen if I haven\u2019t got my finger on it every minute, is that right?\u00a0 <\/span>Huh?\u00a0 <\/span>I don’t know what’s good, and I don’t know what’s bad.\u00a0 <\/span>Now that may sound like, well, I’m some kinda reprobate, and I probably am.\u00a0 <\/span>But do you know the outcome of a given event today – say two weeks from now?\u00a0 <\/span>Hmm?\u00a0 <\/span>Two months from now?\u00a0 <\/span>Now, if you don’t know that, could you judge it as being good or bad today?\u00a0 <\/span>Huh?\u00a0 <\/span>Could you, Mack?\u00a0 <\/span>Now let’s say one of your gas wells blew out and went dry today – pooph!\u00a0 <\/span>You know the outcome?\u00a0 <\/span>But you don’t know the outcome of that two weeks from now.\u00a0 <\/span>It may push the others out to where they really produce, you see?\u00a0 <\/span>So you better wait a couple of months or three months \u2018fore you see whether it’s good or bad.<\/span><\/p>\n

You know, there’s a story they tell about a man who had his major wealth consisted (in fact his only wealth consisted) of a very beautiful horse, a lovely mare that he had\u2014a great Arabian mare.\u00a0 <\/span>I agree.\u00a0 <\/span>And he and his son struggled away to make a livin\u2019 and could barely exist; but they had this beautiful horse.\u00a0 <\/span>So they knew no trouble could come to them because they could always sell this lovely mare for a fortune.<\/span><\/p>\n

One mornin\u2019 they got up and the mare had broken out of her corral and gone.\u00a0 <\/span>The guy said,\u00a0 <\/span>“Well, the mare’s gone.”\u00a0 <\/span>All the neighbors come and said, \u201cYou sure are unfortunate.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>He said, \u00a0<\/span>“I don’t know; I know the mare’s gone, that’s all I know.”\u00a0 <\/span>“Well,” they said, “that’s terrible.”\u00a0 <\/span>He said,\u00a0 <\/span>“Ok, it\u2019s terrible.\u00a0 <\/span>But I don’t know that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

So about a week later they get up one morning and the mare’s back in the corral with seven beautiful wild stallions.\u00a0 <\/span>All the neighbors come and said, \u201cYou sure are fortunate.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The man said,\u00a0 <\/span>“Well, I don’t know.\u00a0 <\/span>I got eight horses now and I only had one before.\u00a0 <\/span>But I got eight now, so I know that.”\u00a0 <\/span>And they all said that they knew that it was wonderful that he had the eight horses now.\u00a0 <\/span>Was pretty good, wasn’t it?<\/span><\/p>\n

So he and his son decided to break these eight wild stallions so they would be able to sell them and so forth and about the fourth or fifth day one of these wild stallions threw his son and broke his leg.\u00a0 <\/span>His leg broken riding horses instead of roller-skating, but it works the same way.<\/span><\/p>\n

So all the neighbors come and said,\u00a0 <\/span>“How unfortunate, your son broke his leg.\u00a0 <\/span>Got a broken leg.”\u00a0 <\/span>The man said,\u00a0 <\/span>“I don’t know whether it’s fortunate or not, I just know the son’s got a broken leg.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And about five days later, the king’s men came through, conscripting all able-bodied young men to take \u2018em off to some war that they were raidin\u2019 another country.\u00a0 <\/span>Of course, they couldn’t take his son because he had a broken leg.<\/span><\/p>\n

So all the neighbor’s sons got taken but his wasn’t.\u00a0 <\/span>They all came over and said, “How fortunate for you, that your son had a broken leg.”\u00a0 <\/span>He said, “I don’t know, I just know he’s got a broken leg and he didn’t have to go to war.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Now we could go on through that for the rest of the day, but I guess we’ll quit about there.\u00a0 <\/span>But do you see that everybody jumps to the conclusion you know what\u2019s good and bad because it fits our little preconceived opinions of what\u2019s good right now; but you don\u2019t know the outcome four or five days later, a week later, so how could you tell whether it’s good or not?\u00a0 <\/span>Ok?<\/span><\/p>\n

So is it possible we could just let good and evil alone?\u00a0 <\/span>You see, that was told in a story of the \u201cBook of Genesis\u201d – was the fall of man.\u00a0 <\/span>He eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.\u00a0 <\/span>And he told \u2018em when they eat of it, they\u2019d die.\u00a0 <\/span>It’s a deadly stuff.\u00a0 <\/span>You just spit it out.\u00a0 <\/span>Throw the core away.\u00a0 <\/span>Do you know what’s good and bad?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(No.) <\/span><\/p>\n

Then you don’t have anything to worry about, do you?\u00a0 <\/span>Everything\u2019s just all right like it is.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I am only awaiting to use the body to radiate forth My love and Life, waiting until you shall give up the so called \u201cknowledge of good and evil\u201d and surrender unto Me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And say, \u201cLook, Life knows what it’s doing, it’s doing fine.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>So I got an itch today and the itch will eventually heal up, I guess.\u00a0 <\/span>If it don’t, it’s fine to have the itch, is that right?\u00a0 <\/span>So what?\u00a0 <\/span>I don’t know what’s good and I don’t know what’s bad, and that is possibly the being reborn, because the fall of man, the death of man, was deciding long ago that he knew what was good, what was bad, and we’ve been passing it off from generation to generation.\u00a0 <\/span>Mama told me all the things that\u2019s good and bad.\u00a0 <\/span>And they told me that on a certain day I was old enough to know good from evil.\u00a0 <\/span>Thank goodness I outgrew it.\u00a0 <\/span>Give me time, I’ll outgrow anything.\u00a0 <\/span>So let’s leave that one there.\u00a0 <\/span>Ok, is there any questions or comments?\u00a0 <\/span>Yes sir?<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, you’re blissful when you don’t want to change anything, my friend.\u00a0 <\/span>There’s nothin\u2019 I want to change, so I say I’m in a state of bliss right now.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, sometimes the bliss is greater degrees and lesser degrees.\u00a0 <\/span>When you wanna change anything, you’re not very blissful, is that right?\u00a0 <\/span>Now, I don’t know anything that I’m smart enough to say should be changed, so I’m quite pleased and delighted and wonderful with everything as it is and when you’re in a state of not having a thing in the world you want to remake, improve, fix it up, and say, “The good Lord sure screwed up.\u00a0 <\/span>He should have left me in charge of this thing,\u201d huh?\u00a0 <\/span>He should have made me the general manager.\u00a0 <\/span>Then you might call that bliss.<\/span><\/p>\n

(You went a little too fast for me.\u00a0 <\/span>I want to go back a little bit.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you want to go back to?\u00a0 <\/span>To the beginning?<\/span><\/p>\n

(No, no, when you talk about eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Was the fall of man, as the story goes – the great teaching story, the symbolic story.\u00a0 <\/span>Eve was enticed by the evil one, which is the Four Dual Basic Urges, to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.\u00a0 <\/span>That right, huh?\u00a0 <\/span>And that was the fall of man from the truly spiritual state, seeing themselves separate from Life rather than as an expression of Life.\u00a0 <\/span>And Eve handed it on to Seth and Cane; and Cane raised cane with it and killed Able and they’ve been going on ever since with it.<\/span><\/p>\n

(Then you said being reborn is when we give up. . .)<\/span><\/p>\n

You can see that you don’t know what’s \u201cgood\u201d and what’s \u201cbad\u201d and you could care less.\u00a0 <\/span>And you can allow Life to determine what’s going on and you can respond to it.\u00a0 <\/span>You now are a new creature.\u00a0 <\/span>You are not a creature that knows good and evil, right from wrong.\u00a0 <\/span>You now are an expression of Life, expressing spontaneously Life, love, truth, all those pretty words.\u00a0 <\/span>Ok?\u00a0 <\/span>That is being a new person, is it not?\u00a0 <\/span>Okay?\u00a0 <\/span>Anybody else got a word?\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, sir.<\/span><\/p>\n

(Will you tell us what the six not-I\u2019s are again?)<\/span><\/p>\n

Ok, the first one is, of course, the very “Pappy” of all of them is that the whole purpose of living is to be non-disturbed.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The first one that works on how to get it is \u201ccomplaining\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>That’s the complainer. Things not like I know they ought to be, I complain, right, Mary?<\/span><\/p>\n

(That\u2019s on the right side, right?)<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, that\u2019s over there \u2013 I don\u2019t know whether it\u2019s right or left, or in the middle.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Okay, the second one is \u201csticking up for my rights\u201d; that’s the sticker up for rights.\u00a0 <\/span>Okay?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now, on the other side in the next thing, the ordinary sequence of chronology is that I gotta please everybody.\u00a0 <\/span>Mama put up enough with my complainin\u2019 and stickin\u2019 up for rights, okay?\u00a0 <\/span>[Big thunderclaps during a storm keep interrupting.]\u00a0 <\/span>Sounds like we\u2019re at work, only I have military jets fly over all day, so I\u2019m used to stoppin\u2019 to get my breath between words.\u00a0 <\/span>So that would be that says it’s important to please them.\u00a0 <\/span>It’s not because I want to, but they’ll give me pain if I don’t, is that right.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then we make the one that says believe and do as I am told by my authorities.\u00a0 <\/span>My authorities, of course, are the ones that Mama told me was my authorities – the fuzz, the preachers, the Sunday school teachers, the word, the book – all that stuff, you know.\u00a0 <\/span>They don’t always agree as you’ve noticed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next one says, I \u201cought to improve myself. \u201c\u00a0 <\/span>So that’s the self-improver which gets very powerful in a lot of folks.\u00a0 <\/span>It’s really a tyrant because no matter what you do, you ought to improve yourself.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And then finally we get to one that really clears everything up: if they would straighten up.\u00a0 <\/span>So the blamer, \u201cIf all the rest of these folks would just straighten up and fly right, I would be so happy.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>So all we gotta do is start a war and straighten \u2018em up; and if they don’t straighten up, we will straighten \u2018em out.\u00a0 <\/span>That clear enough for you?<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that’s the self and it says to know the self.\u00a0 <\/span>And it doesn’t say to improve it, straighten it up or eliminate it, it just says know it.\u00a0 <\/span>So you take into consideration when all that stuff runs through your head that that’s to be ignored because that’s the self runnin\u2019, and wantin\u2019 you to express the self rather than Life itself, okay?\u00a0 <\/span>That’s the competitor to Life.\u00a0 <\/span>In the scripture books and so forth, it\u2019s called the devil, or the evil one, or the dark forces, or the opposition and so forth.\u00a0 <\/span>So it\u2019s what wants to take over, and it is death to live by it, okay?\u00a0 <\/span>Does that answer your question?<\/span><\/p>\n

(So when you get into that position as being some of these different deals, improvement or something like that, what are some of the steps I take to get away from that?)<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, see that it\u2019s a bunch of foolishness.\u00a0 <\/span>In other words, if somebody come along and told you that if you use these [holding up colored markers] to make a circle around you on the floor, that nothing could ever come disturb you anymore, and all you have to do is give them $8,000 for this thing so you can draw a green circles around you on the floor, would you buy it?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(No.)\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Okay.\u00a0 <\/span>It don’t pay to improve yourself; same stuff.\u00a0 <\/span>In other words, I don’t think you’re a gullible man, so don’t listen to all that junk.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(How about $10,000?)\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For $7,000 you can have an orange crayon.\u00a0 <\/span>(Laughter) I don’t know good and evil.\u00a0 <\/span>Life can, therefore, radiate from me.\u00a0 <\/span>So if I don’t know good and evil then Life has to radiate out here.\u00a0 <\/span>Now, Life is always the unexpected, the unconditioned and really you can’t very well predict an unconditioned person.\u00a0 <\/span>But a very conditioned person, I can predict.\u00a0 <\/span>I know I can say this to them and get this response.\u00a0 <\/span>If I say something, they cry.\u00a0 <\/span>I say somethin\u2019 else and they laugh.\u00a0 <\/span>I say somethin\u2019 else and they get very upset and depressed; and I say somethin\u2019 else and they feel very wonderful and so forth.\u00a0 <\/span>So I can predict a conditioned person.\u00a0 <\/span>It makes it quite possible for all of us peddlers to make a good livin\u2019.\u00a0 <\/span>But if you’re dealing with a person who is expressing Life, you never know what’s going to happen.\u00a0 <\/span>They’re totally unpredictable. That’s why all institutions don’t like \u2018em.\u00a0 <\/span>Because if you have an institution, you gotta have it so that when you say something or give an order or what have you, it\u2019s predictable as to be the outcome.\u00a0 <\/span>And, totally conscious people would eliminate the possibility of institutions havin\u2019 power. So they don\u2019t like \u2018em, and they spend great time, effort \u2013 all institutions \u2013 seeing that you are thoroughly conditioned that you will respond as the proper button is pushed.\u00a0 <\/span>Okay? `<\/span><\/p>\n

Any other question, comments?\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, ma\u2019am.\u00a0 <\/span>Yes, Amelia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, see that your authorities don’t know what they’re talkin\u2019 about, so why would you quote those jerks?\u00a0 <\/span>Huh?\u00a0 <\/span>Let’s quote Life.\u00a0 <\/span>Then every now and then, you don’t quote it, you express it.\u00a0 <\/span>Quoting is always out of something else that says Amelia really don’t exist.\u00a0 <\/span>She\u2019s a tape recording.\u00a0 <\/span>And so, somebody pushes it and it plays off \u201cX 12\u201d on the tape.\u00a0 <\/span>Somebody else pushes somethin\u2019, you play “B 2”, and so on down the line.\u00a0 <\/span>So why not let Amelia express Life rather than that?\u00a0 <\/span>So if nothing else, just be quiet for a day or two and it\u2019ll come out, ok?\u00a0 <\/span>So the best thing I would suggest if I could, Amelia, is that we don’t quote anybody for a while.\u00a0 <\/span>It might mean you\u2019re very silent for a few days and everybody wonders what’s wrong with you, but then something will come out and it will be the expression of Life.\u00a0 <\/span>Ok?\u00a0 <\/span>Does that sound sensible to you?\u00a0 <\/span>And everybody will wonder what’s wrong with Amelia – she’s not yakkin\u2019 all the time.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
