{"id":64,"date":"2012-10-22T11:19:27","date_gmt":"2012-10-22T15:19:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/marshasummers.com\/wordpress\/?p=64"},"modified":"2012-10-22T11:21:26","modified_gmt":"2012-10-22T15:21:26","slug":"competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marshasummers.com\/wordpress\/?p=64","title":{"rendered":"Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Marsha:<\/p>\n<p>Competition is one of the ideas of the man-made world that is fine when agreed upon that we\u2019ll play a game, and one of us will \u201cwin\u201d; however the urge to competition is often carried unconsciously into many other areas of life such as \u201cI am right\u201d and \u201cyou are wrong\u201d and the argument is over an \u201copinion\u201d rather than fact.\u00a0 Below is a contribution from John.\u00a0 He found conflict within and \u201cchecked it out\u201d with the teachings.\u00a0 Below are his discoveries.<\/p>\n<p>From John:<\/p>\n<p>Competition<\/p>\n<p>Man likes competition because he thinks he&#8217;s going to win (vanity).\u00a0 He&#8217;s going to be proven better than others (at least momentarily).\u00a0 Competition is a form of violence based on the belief, \u201cIf you have it, I won&#8217;t have it.\u201d\u00a0 It is a form of greed in that one is trying to keep another from getting what one wants for oneself. That&#8217;s his expectation&#8230;.an ideal which eventually leads to disappointment and the necessity for adaptation (vicious cycle).
