Suggestibility is when a person is \u2013 we could use the same one here. Could we go ahead and use this one.\u00a0 A guy going from A to B, and the other guy that\u2019s going here \u2013 the traveler.\u00a0 The traveler\u2019s not suggestible because he\u2019s not trying to get to a goal.<\/p>\n
But now if I had a goal or an ideal down the road and you told me there was some way to get it that you\u2019d heard of, huh?\u00a0\u00a0 Then I\u2019d be very quick to buy the suggestion that you laid out.<\/p>\n
But if I\u2019m just traveling, it really doesn\u2019t matter, you know, so it sounds good.<\/p>\n
Some people called me from Salt Lake City yesterday afternoon and told me about a wonderful opportunity they had to invest funds. They wanted to know if I had any and I told them thank goodness I was broke so I couldn\u2019t invest in it.\u00a0\u00a0 They can put in a minimum of $5,000 or anywhere up and get 2 1\/2% per week return \u2013 that\u2019s per week now, understand?\u00a0 In other words $125 a week to get a return \u2013 every week now; they get paid weekly on this.\u00a0 And then at the end of six months, they get 12% so it\u2019d be another $600 come off of this.\u00a0 So you get this for $125. \u00a0A week for 26 weeks times 6 is $3,250. You\u2019d get back on the $5,000, plus your $5,000 back, ok?<\/p>\n
(You get that back?)<\/p>\n
Oh yeah, you get the five grand back too. So at the end of the month, you get $8,250 for your $5,000 investment.\u00a0 Now a couple of them was selling their houses so they could go in heavy \u2013 like for $25 to $50,000 (they hold equity in their house.)<\/p>\n
(They became trippers.)<\/p>\n
They became trippers\u2026 well, no they\u2019re very voluntary, they was working hard to get the funds so they could get into it.<\/p>\n
Now they were highly suggestible, huh? Some guy come along which we ordinarily\u2026 in my terminology would call the shill.\u00a0 But the shill went around and told them all that he\u2019d put in X number of dollars in this company down in Phoenix and in six months he not only made this, he\u2019d made a big bonus on it.\u00a0 It was fantastic \u2013 he got like some $50,000 back.<\/p>\n
Now of course, they couldn\u2019t wait to get in on it. Now if your goal was to get rich, make a lot of money without working, then you\u2019d be highly suggestible.<\/p>\n
Now when I listened to this, I thought of a gentleman by the name of Ponzi who did a little game on people some number of years ago that he\u2026 Mr. Ponzi offered fantastic returns on an investment and he gave them to a number of people because he was keepin\u2019 new people comin\u2019 in. As long as you had enough new ones comin\u2019 in, why you could pay these fantastic returns on \u2018em, right?<\/p>\n
Now this guy could do this \u2013 if he gets enough new people comin\u2019 in, he could pay several of them; but then of course, you\u2019re five and your suggestibility would go wild and you\u2019d put your house in, go mortgage your house and get all the money you can get \u2013 mortgage your apartment house and get all you can on it, borrow all you could from the relatives and whatever else and get in on this thing. Now that is suggestibility, is that right?<\/p>\n
But now he was a tripper \u2013 they\u2019re all trippers just wantin\u2019 to get on this.\u00a0\u00a0 Now I told them a gentle little story about Mr. Ponzi while I was talking to \u2018em; but they didn\u2019t want to hear about Mr. Ponzi, see.\u00a0 They figured that was, you know\u2026 I was an old kill joy and so forth like this.\u00a0 An opportunity of a lifetime to get in on a deal like this, you know.\u00a0 So there\u2019s only a limited number of people, of course, they can accept as clients.\u00a0 You understand that also.<\/p>\n

Or somethin\u2019, somethin\u2019 like that.
